Goo Goo Dolls at Hollywood Bowl

Goo Goo Dolls join Def Leppard and The Struts for a rock lineup at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. TicketsWestHollywood.com features this Concerts event in the Pop / rock category at the Hollywood Bowl on May 1, 2027. Prices currently start around $120, with final costs varying by seat location and availability.

Goo Goo Dolls Biography and Event Details

Formed in Buffalo, New York, in 1986, the Goo Goo Dolls grew from punk and alternative roots into one of pop rock's enduring acts. The band is led by vocalist and guitarist John Rzeznik and bassist and vocalist Robby Takac. Its breakthrough album, Dizzy Up the Girl (1998), introduced a run of widely recognized songs, including “Iris,” “Slide” and “Black Balloon.”

“Iris” became a defining song for the band and a lasting radio favorite, while later releases such as Gutterflower and Chaos in Bloom reflect the group's continued evolution. The concert's listed lineup also includes Def Leppard and The Struts; specific set times and any additional opening acts have not been provided.

The Hollywood Bowl's outdoor amphitheater setting brings a distinctive Los Angeles backdrop to the evening. Its hillside layout and iconic band shell are well suited to a large-scale rock bill, while the Bowl's long-standing role as a destination for concerts makes the venue part of the event experience.

Venue and Seating Information

The Hollywood Bowl is an outdoor amphitheater with a curved seating bowl and capacity of approximately 17,500. For a balanced view of the stage, center Super Seats offer a strong middle-level option. Fans seeking a premium experience can look at centrally located Garden Boxes or Terrace Boxes, which combine a closer perspective with a broad view of the production.

The upper Promenade and bench sections provide the classic Bowl atmosphere at a greater distance from the performers. These can suit guests prioritizing value, though rear bench seats are less ideal for seeing fine stage details. The hillside venue is outdoors, so factor in walking routes, weather, and seat comfort when planning.

Parking Information

Hollywood Bowl parking is limited and often stacked, meaning vehicles may not be able to leave early. Park & Ride, the Bowl Shuttle, Metro, or rideshare can be more convenient alternatives, particularly for the post-show departure. Arrive well ahead of showtime and check current event-specific parking arrangements before traveling.

• Hollywood Bowl Lot A / Blue Lot: 2301 N Highland Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90068. On-site stacked parking is listed at about $55; valet is listed at about $90. Parking details
